Shiri Appleby was born in Los Angeles, California on December 7, 1978. She is the daughter of Jerry & Dina Appleby. The star, whose career began when she was four, has acted in many commercials, endorsing such companies as M&M's and Cheerios.

Shiri has played guest roles on various television shows including Doogie Howser, Thirtysomething, ER and Xena: Warrior Princess.

Her first big feature film part was in the movie I Love You to Death, starring alongside Kevin Kline and River Phoenix.

In her most recent project, Shiri plays a teen in love with an extra terrestrial in Rosewell, which is a hit WB series.

Shiri is studying English at the University of Southern California but is now taking a break in order to dedicate more of her time to her career development. Shiri's interests include shopping and hanging on the beach in California, where she currently lives.

Shiri auditioned for all 3 female roles on "Roswell" several times before being cast as Liz.

Shiri means "my song" in Hebrew.
